A new frame-mounted, residue management tool from Yetter Manufacturing makes it possible for producers using fertilizer toolbars to reap the benefits of the company’s expertise in managing even the toughest residue conditions.

The 2967-039 Frame-Mounted, Floating Residue Manager is a member of the Yetter Manufacturing Titan™ family of residue managers—the strongest residue managers on the market.

“The adjustable mounting bracket of the 2967-039 residue manager enables it to be mounted to a variety of toolbars,” said Andy Thompson, a Yetter territory manager. In fact, the tool mounts on 4-inch- square, 7-inch-square, 5-by-7-inch, 4-by-6-inch, and many other toolbar models.

The floating design of this Titan allows the residue manager wheels to hug the soil surface and effectively move the right amount of residue. The 2967-039 can be locked down to enhance performance in extreme conditions. In addition, depth-control adjustment options increase producers’ control over the operation.

“This unit improves the performance of the whole machine. Clearing residue first means there is less plugging around the knife and a stronger performance from sealing discs,” said Thompson. “This is particularly advantageous in strip-till operations when producers are building the growing environment for the next crop. Adding residue managers to a strip-till toolbar warms up the strips quicker and makes them easier to see during planting.”
